Century old barns dot the pastoral landscape in Southeast Idaho’s Cache Valley. This Chess table draws upon those historic structures for both visual inspiration and materials. A close friend provided Douglas Fir barn siding panels that spent more than a century shielding hay and farm implements from the elements. In addition to using literal materials from these historic structures, a rugged and utilitarian aesthetic and top notch construction techniques will give this heirloom quality piece the longevity of those historic Cache Valley barns.
